The disappearance of the city of The Serene one

Some popular statements say: "The love moves mountains or The love is stronger", but after knowing the following history we should establish one that said: "The love makes disappear cities."    

And it is that the legend of the Disappearance of the city of The Serene one counts us Welded Juan's history, a youth good lover and very humble that falls in love of the only daughter of the rich cacique of the city. In spite of their father's emphatic rejection, the girl falls in love with Welded Juan and she decides to marry him. Fair in the moment in that the priest will give beginning to the sacrament, in the church you began to feel a strong din. All the present commented that he/she came closer to the city the girlfriend's father, with the firm intention of killing the future husbands stops then, to set on fire and to destroy the whole city.    

Nobody knows what, neither how it happened, but the matter is that when the infuriated father stepped the surroundings of the city, this suddenly disappeared, he vanished.    

Accompanied by their soldiers it traveled to horse mounts and prairies, but everything was a peladero. The city was not. It had disappeared.    

They count that, sometimes, in general on Saturdays, people that pass near the place where located this city was, it is listened music and songs. Others say that it stops Friday Saint the city it becomes visible to those that contemplate it from far, but the image begins to disappear in the measure in that people come closer to her.

The Pincoya

  

In a single woman  rests the luck of the fishermen of the island of Chiloé. It is a well-known siren as The Pincoya whose mission is deeply bound to the femaleness: to fecundate all the alive beings of the sea. This way, the abundance or shortage of fish and shellfish will depend on their kindness. When the Pincoya leaves the depths of the sea every morning and its dance begins with the extended arms looking to the sea, it corresponds to the announcement that the fishing will be abundant. On the contrary, if she dances in address to the coast it means that the fish will go away. It is supposed that this happens when the siren has estimated necessary to drag the wealth of the sea toward other needier areas.  

So that the fishermen are favored by the Pincoya they should maintain a positive, cheerful attitude and of companionship. Also, they should rotate the places where fish, since the extraction abuse in oneself place a reason of anger it is considered for the Pincoya who decides to abandon that area leaving it sterile.  

Another version that relates it with a nymph of hair of gold that made emerge from the bottom of the sea a trunk of solid gold on which combed its hair by means of its whistles also exists and the one that brought prosperity and abundance to the costs. During the nights it intoned loving songs that bewitched to who listened to them.  

 All went in search of the Pincoya to request him favors, but suddenly it disappeared of the place. It is said that it was stolen to impregnate from good fortune to new costs.

THE CALEUCHE

It counts the legend that the Caleuche is a ship ghost that navigates for the seas of Chiloé and the multiple channels of the south. Powerful sorcerers conform their company, the one that navigates only at nights, never with light by day.
According to the popular belief people that have died drowned they are picked up by this mysterious ship from the depths of the sea to be welcomed in the eternal life. Although the craft offers home to those that have shipwrecked, it is not similar of gentile with those that have dared to direct him the front look. The navigators punish to the fearless ones twisting them the mouth or the back, and even in occasions, giving them the death.
To hide of the not wanted looks, The Caleuche has the easiness of becoming a simple floating timber or simply to become invisible. Other they identify it as the ship that hides in the fog that him same he generates to hide of people.
Nevertheless, the Caleuche can also be compassionate. When it navigates near the costs and he takes possession of certain people, it takes them to visit cities installed in the bottom of the sea, revealing them the locations of the big hidden fortunes in the sea and allowing them to enjoy them with the threatening condition that they maintain those secrets until the death. If they don't make it they are exposed to be severely punished by the " sorcerers " navigators. The evil tongues say that when a merchant is able to be made of a quick fortune, is because she has had hidden contacts with the ship " ghost ".
