Pre-school: For children up to 5 years old, optional for 1 grade. 
Primary school, (Basic Education) for children from 5-13 years old, divided into 8 grades. 
Secondary school (secondary education) for teenagers from 13-18 years old, divided into 4 grades. 
Secondary school is also divided into: 
Scientific-humanities approach: From Third Middle (11th grade) in highschool, students can choose to major in either science (math, physics, chemistry, biology), or humanities (literature, history, sociology), which means they will get more lessons in the area of their choice. 
Technical-Professional education: Students receive 'extra' education in the so-called 'technical' areas, such as electricity, mechanics, metal assembly, and so on. This second type of education is more typical of public schools (Schools), to give students from poor areas a chance to work right away after completion of highschool, as a possible way to fund a higher education career later.

MY NAME IS ANDREA FORERO I WAS BORN NOVEMBER 15 IN THE CLINIC OF THE FOREST IN BOGOTÁ. I WAS INTERNED IN THE CLINIC DURING SIX MONTHS BECAUSE IT WAS VERY SICK, THEN MY PARENTS TOOK ME TO THE HOUSE IN THAT TIME IN BOGOTÁ, I LIVED WITH MY PARENTS, MY GRANDPARENTS AND TWO UNCLES IT WAS VERY SPOILT I DIDN'T LIKE TO BE ALONE A MOMENT. WHEN I TURNED THE SIX YEARS WE CAME US TO LIVE WITH MY PARENTS TO ZIPAQUIRA AND STUDY IN THE SCHOOL OF THE PRESENTATION, ENTER TO THIS SCHOOL AND LET US ALSO GRADUATE IN THE SAME ONE WHEN SMALL I LIKED A LOT THE VEGETABLES BUT NOW I DON'T LIKE THEY KNOW ME UGLY BUT WHAT I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED IS THE MEAT, WHEN SMALL WHAT MA ATE WAS MEAT.
